Distinguished management consultant and executive
In his position as Vice Chair at international management consulting firm Global Governance Advisors, Luis Navas calls on some 20 years of high-level experience in designing and putting into place executive compensation programs for a variety of clients worldwide. Well-educated, he holds an MBA from Canada’s prestigious Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario. He additionally attended classes at Harvard Business School as a part of its highly selective Executive Education program. After beginning his career in business and executive management with BMO Nesbitt Burns, one of Canada’s oldest and largest financial institutions, Luis Navas served in positions of increasing responsibility in other large international firms such as Mercer Human Resource Consulting and Hay Group. His areas of responsibility at Global Governance Advisors encompass governance issues for corporate boards, human resources matters, and best practices in compensation.
Luis Navas and Global Governance Advisors work with the goal of providing carefully constructed and strategically focused executive and directorial compensation models that will afford each client corporation a firm foundation on which to base all other operations. Headquartered in Toronto, the firm maintains an international business presence through consulting work with for-profit and non-profit organizations in North and South America, Asia, Europe, and Africa. Global Governance Advisors, Mr. Navas, and their team work exclusively on behalf of shareholders in order to avoid the confusion and conflict that often attend poorly structured compensation programs created in the absence of expert advice. The cutting-edge, fair, and defensible strategies they establish are intended to prevent problems before they occur, saving time and money.
